Concrete Detailing, Drawings and Dimensions – Basic Considerations

To a structural engineer and crew of the erection of concrete and drawings describing the role play in the overall success of the proposed building or structure. The specific details of drawings should be the physical dimensions of a concrete structure and should incorporate well-defined sequence of construction provided by the designer. It is essential that information is properly certified to facilitate easy calculation of specific quantities required to construct and erect the frame.

For example, construction joints, sank in the use of metal, formed holes and large sections of cement in bulk, indicate. The positions of iron metal and formed with holes should be large enough to allow correct positioning within the structural shell.

The fillets and chamfers rule should not be listed and detailed sections on the minor scale and viewpoints. In most cases, the upper surface of the stop Dolls and support beams must be detailed for a downward adjustment of around 3% front wall and curtain.

Plan views are useful to illustrate the location of certain items, such as dolls, columns, footings, etc. can also be used to show the changes, contact information and a reference mark. Visit plan should be established as a horizontal view taken directly on the element considered.

Elevations shall be established as a view seen from a perpendicular plane directly in front of the item under consideration and should be estimated from the elements of the plan view.

The sections should be designed as a view of a cutting plane placed through a plan already established or elevation. In general, only details The cutting plane of the section should be indicated, but details beyond the cutting plane can be incorporated, provided that the information used not to confuse the basic details of your presentation.

Construction joints are not permitted in prestressed concrete components, unless otherwise by the designer. If necessary, construction joints should be detailed at the concrete. At the same time, aesthetics together construction should also be revised as necessary by the architect.
