Update On Actions Involving the Lake Rousseau Herbicide Program:

Last week W.A.R. released a hard hitting 100 page document outlining damage to the Lower Withlacoochee River
resulting from the Lake Rousseau herbicide treatment programs.

The document specifies numerous violations of State and Federal law by the Bureau of Invasive Species
while operating out of the DEP.The document was sent to the Governor
with copies to all involved State and Federal agencies, as well as, news media and supporting environmental organizations.

The document calls for corrections to the herbicide program that will eliminate damage to the Lower River,
studies to evaluate present conditions, and mitigation of previous damage.
Copies of the document are available for review at the Yankeetown Library.
Copies on CD are available for a small fee from W.A.R. and are being offered free with new memberships.
